TRASH IS ANY
Bokashi, Japanese for "fermented organic matter", is a method of composting in which you ferment food scraps in order to
aid in the breakdown of organic matter.
It also mitigates smells and deter pests and pathogens.
When using Bokashi,
you can also more safely include meat & dairy products in your compost collection.
The method can be used in lieu of or in addition to other composting methods in order to improve soil structure,
restore the native soil microbiome,
and optimize plant growth and productivity.
The Compost Queens diverts food scraps from the landfill and returns them to local farms. We're transforming our soil to transform the Earth and our community.
